Vignette

Bagi yang melihatnya, sering ia dikatakan sebagai gambar batik, ornamen, tangle, floral, abstrak, dan lain-lain. Tapi saya tetap menyebutnya Vignette. Dengan berbagai nama sebutan yang dikatakan mirip dengannya, vignette tetap memiliki ciri khas tersendiri.

Gambar Vignette (baca: vinyet), adalah gambar yang berfungsi untuk menghias atau mengisi kolom atau halaman kosong pada majalah atau surat kabar. Vignette merupakan stilasi atau penggayaan atau pengembangan dari bentuk-bentuk.

Menurut KBBI, vignette didefinisikan sebagai berikut.

¥       Bentuk hiasan dalam seni grafika dan arsitektur yg diambil dari bentuk tumbuhan merambat, daun, dan sebaainya.

¥       Goresan atau potret kecil pada bidang tepi sekeliling halaman buku.

Kata vignette berasal dari bahasa Perancis yaitu “vignette” yang berarti batang anggur. Di Perancis sendiri vignette merupakan seni hias buku, yang biasanya bentuk hiasan tersebut digunakan dalam seni grafika atau arsitektur, ada juga yang mengartikan vignette sebagai sebuah sketsa dengan gambar yang unik dan dekoratif. Vignette ini merupakan salah satu karya seni rupa yang banyak digemari para remaja Indonesia pada era 70-an yang digunakan sebagai media ekspresi.

Stilasi daun/ pohon merambat adalah ciri khas vignette, ditambah pengulangan bentuk dasar atau garis. Bentuk manusia dan hewan juga tidak salah. Ciri lain adalah, bercorak dekoratif sehingga terlihat flat.  Di Indonesia, vignette pernah berjaya pada tahun 1970-1990an awal. Banyak majalah gaul maupun majalah sastra dan surat kabar di masa itu memuat gambar vignette untuk mengisi ruang kosong di sela-sela rubrik-rubriknya, terutama rubrik sastra/ puisi. Disela-sela rubrik puisi, vignette muncul selain untuk mengisi ruang kosong juga menjadi pemanis bernilai artistik.

Vignette sering tidak terprediksi ujungnya, kemudian kehilangan eksistensinya setelah problem ruang kosong kemudian diatasi oleh software semacam Page Maker, atau Indesign versi terbarunya. Software tersebut mempunyai kemampuan mengatur huruf sedemikian rupa sehingga problem jarak antar huruf, atau antar kalimat yang menyebabkan naskah menggantung dan ruang kosong bisa diatasi.

Saat ini, tidak ditemukan lagi jejak gambar vignette di koran atau majalah pop. Mungkin kesan jadul gambar Vignette yang membuatnya seperti tidak layak untuk ditampilkan di koran atau majalah modern. Mungkin, perlu tafsir visual ulang terhadap vignette agar bisa tampil lagi di majalah dan koran, eksis sebagai seni gambar yang utuh, tetapi tidak melupakan fungsi awal, sebagai pemanis kekosongan ruang.  Atau, jangan-jangan, kita bisa menggunakan medium visual vignette yang secara umum visual yang dimunculkan adalah nuansa liris, kontemplatif, atau imajinatif cenderung romantik, sebagai alat terapi bagi yag sedang galau?

Cinta antara laki-laki dan perempuan adalah juga bagian dari cinta Ilahiyah itu. Tetapi terkadang yang dicintai itu menjadi hijab antara cinta dan pengejawantahan dari cinta sejati. Suatu hari ketika hijab itu terangkat, barulah sang kekasih sejati akan nampak dalam suatu keagungan ilahiah.

Flowers. Scroll. Butterfly wings. Caterpillars. Peacock feathers. Shellfish. Sunglasses. And other. They say in the glass squid, happy squid with tentacles, tentacles, overload flowers in a glass, dragon (dragon friend lion dance), mushrooms, there are jellyfish head anyway, and I do not know. I said it's like a chicken with two eyes "blatant" (peace ..). Several interpretations. At first glance that way. How to interpret life? What do you see?

Vignette

Pictures Vignette (read: vignette), is an image that serves to decorate or fill columns or blank pages in a magazine or newspaper. Vignette is stylized or styling or the development of forms. According KBBI, vignette is

The word comes from French vignette is "vignette" which means vine. In France alone vignette is a decorative art books, which usually form the decoration used in graphic arts or architecture, there is also interpreted vignette a sketch with unique images and decorative. Vignette This is one of the works of art that much-loved Indonesian teenagers in the 70s are used as a medium of expression.
